Some Questions for You

Lovely campus ladies and fellow blogger fashionistas, I need your help.

So it's about time for me to get a trim and a fix. My hair has been growing out for the past two years from an a-line bob. It's a couple inches past my shoulders now and I wouldn't mind getting it to about 3-4 inches longer.

So here are my questions for ya'll:

1. How should I get my hair styled while it grows out? Layers, angled cut, mohawk? Obviously joking about the mohawk...maybe in another life. And sorry I'm not doing bangs - been there, done that, looked like Dora the Explorer.

2. What is your favorite heat protectant spray? I've started to use heat on my hair almost every day, so it's time for me to get something to treat it.

3. What is your go-to product for a little shine? I've heard of several different serums and sprays, and I'd like to try one to bring a little more life to my hair - especially in this dead winter we've got going on.

Thank ya'll so much...you can post in the comments, talk to me via Twitter (@cristina96x) or email me at cristinaoncampus@gmail.com.

Sweet Deal

Black Friday emails flooded my inbox (before and after). A subject line of "9.99 Cable Knits" caught my eye...

My sister and I hit up JCPenney today expecting to search for a table display of the sweaters. To our pleasant surprise, the entire store was a wonderland of mark downs.

You'll just have to go see for yourself, but if your wardrobe needs some winter staples, now you know where to go!

Here are my pickups:

cable knit sweater
cable knit turtleneck
2 long sleeve crew necks (so soft!)
3 quarter length embellished tee

I stayed under $50 for all of it... a Christmas miracle!

Any tips for styling turtlenecks and sweaters?

Go-to Holiday Color+Combo

For the past couple months, I've been all about the deep colors of fall: burgundy, dark "is that black?" purple, and smoky navy. Holiday cheer can be shown in so many ways - I move onto "merry and bright" colors after Thanksgiving.

My go-to is pink and red.

Red is the color of Christmas - red lips, red santa hats here and there, and lots of red on candy canes.

Pink reminds me of snow for some reason. I guess it's the light hue and the cheery feel of it. When I think of holiday pink I think of the costumes at the Nutcracker, pink fuzzy socks by the fire, and the gumdrops on a gingerbread house.

There are so many different ways to dress and accessorize with these colors. Here's just a few of my favorites -

I got a mani/pedi with my family today - OPI's "Tickle me France-y" on my fingers and "Red Hot" on my toes. The spa we went to was decked out for Christmas in one of my favorite colors - very Eloise at Christmastime.

Charming Charlie's "Perfect Pastels" and "Find Your Perfect Red" collections hit their floor just in time for the holiday season.

Bebe's "Winter in Wonderland" collection is perfect for holiday parties - I may just have to throw one so I can shop it!

One of my favorite things about winter is cozy pajama sets. Mix red and pink here or add a pattern - perfect for opening gifts on Christmas morning or viewing your favorite holiday flick.

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving!
